Salasar is a town in the Churu district of Rajasthan, IndiaIt is famous for the Salasar Balaji Temple, a religious site for devotees of the Hindu god Hanuman. The temple is located in the center of Salasar town.

The temple is known for its divine power and is said to fulfill the wishes of devotees who sincerely believe. The Hanuman idol in the temple has a moustache and beard, which sets it apart from other Hanuman idols.

The temple hosts large fairs every year during the months of Chaitra and Ashwin. Some say the best time to visit the temple is during the winter season, from September to February. The dress code for men is shirt and trousers, dhoti, or pajamas with an upper cloth.

Some say that Salasar Balaji is pleased by offerings of coconuts and flags. As a result, coconuts have become a symbol of reverence at the temple, and devotees offer around 25 lakh coconuts each year

Cultural Tours

Tourism is travel for pleasure or business; also the theory and practice of touring, the business of attracting, accommodating, and entertaining tourists, and the business of operating tours. Tourism may be international, or within the traveller’s country. The World Tourism Organization defines tourism more generally, in terms which go “beyond the common perception of tourism as being limited to holiday activity only”, as people “traveling to and staying in places outside their usual environment for not more than one consecutive year for leisure, business and other purposes”.

Tourism can be domestic or international, and international tourism has both incoming and outgoing implications on a country’s balance of payments. Today, tourism is a major source of income for many countries, and affects the economy of both the source and host countries, in some cases being of vital importance.
